Red Oak Bowl

Start with a 1" red oak plank 8 1/2" wide, cut a length 8 1/2", cut two rings from the board, stack and glue them and then mount on the lathe to turn a 8" dia. bowl 2 3/4" deep. A little tricky but worth the time and effort. Finished slicky smooth with wax.
