Decorative Art - Apple Tree Trunk

This apple tree was cut down in 1993 and the stump & trunk left in the ground until 2022. Used as a post supporting bird houses for years, it weathered until the inside completely rotted out. With hours of cleaning, sanding and finishing with many coats of clear sealant and shellac a beautiful 13" x 13" artist piece emerged. It has an attachable Maple base. A similar piece is shown finished adorned with potted plants.
